Weiterlesen We ate here as a family of 4 during a week long visit to Rome. This was the last day in Rome and we had been lucky in that everywhere we had eaten up to this point was had thoroughly enjoyed. We were doing some last minute shopping around the piazza and needed somewhere to eat before heading to the airport. We walked toward this place and were talked into getting a table by the charming man enticing prospective guests and were shown to a table. We ordered drinks and food, 2 went for the lasagne and the others for pasta. The food arrived and I can 't say we had any issues with it. It was all very nice albeit the portions were not a generous as we had been used to during the rest of our visit to Rome. There were 2 problems, firstly we were constantly being pestered by immigrants attempting to sell us selfie sticks, power banks, umbrella, ponchos and nock off scarves and I was disappointed that the front of house staff did not tell them to stop pestering their guests. The second problem arose when the bill arrived. The cost for a single course and a round of drinks was just over €100 which was much more than we had been used to paying and was frankly over priced. However the waiter had kindly gone to the effort to circle the bit on the bill so we didn 't miss that service was NOT included. When the waiter arrived with the card machine he went to pains to point this out again, to which I replied yes I am aware of that . He then proceeded without my permission to add €10 to the final bill. When I pointed out he had got the total wrong he again told me service wasn 't included. So I said that I prefer to choose how much to tip and I will leave cash, to which the waiter tutted and then entered the correct amount into the card machine. After completing the payment he stormed off and didn 't even thank us. We then left €5 on the table and left.
