24.10.2023 - 21:41Second time recently had a rubbish fish supper from here. Normally given two fish but twice one of the fish was only a HALF fish the other half was just batter and the batter was chewy (probably a re-heat). Even the chips were rubbish mostly all small hard ones. Probably given what was left in oven as they were probably in the process of making fresh chips as there was two people waiting and I know they were waiting on a fish supper. Will be giving this place a wide berth from now on.

23.10.2023 - 01:20The initial surroundings raises an eyebrow when you first visit. However the owner is very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Quite frankly the food was excellent, plentiful and great value. We will definitely be back soon.

15.10.2023 - 05:12The meal ordered, the first downside was the waitress returned to advise that the flatbread starter was sold out. Undeterred the steaks were available and arrived cooked to order and thoroughly enjoyable. My dessert was rather disappointing and looked nothing like the berry merangue in the picture so a full point off for that.

11.10.2023 - 06:02This is an unusual cafe restaurant, not least because it operates beyond normal business criteria and, presumably, the profit margin is not the most salient feature in its business plan. It is located in Anderson Street, Partick (adjacent to the William Morrison car park) and within the modified building that was once Partick Police Office. This is now a resource centre for supporting persons with sensory loss (e.g. blindness and deafness). This was my second visit to Cafe Tiki and, between these visits, I had been onto the website of the RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind). It states that Cafe Tiki is one of three such ventures in Scotland and supports unemployed local people with sight or hearing loss, or additional needs, to learn new skills and find work . Cafe Tiki has its own entrance in Anderson Street. Access is suitable for people with mobility restrictions. The cafe is bright and airy. Orders are taken at a counter and brought to your table. The food is prepared to order. I found the staff to be very helpful and willing. The choice of hot food is limited, but this is an ideal place to stop for a hot breakfast roll, soup or a filled panini. The premises are open for business between 0830 and 1600. Prices are also a big attraction. A panini with two fillings and salad will set you back £2.20. I am am a coffee drinker and I was well pleased with my regular americano for £1.50. Notices suggest there is wifi available; there are also three pcs for the use of customers. Without doubt, this is a hidden gem and anyone who is shopping nearby should consider giving it a look.

08.10.2023 - 14:06Visited this coffee shop in the middle of lanark. The place wasn't very busy, it was about mid afternoon at weekend. All of the counter area, the tables and floors were absolutely filthy and none of the staff seemed to even notice let alone show any concern. The area where hot drinks was in a terrible state and some of the equipment looked as though it hadn't been cleaned for days with heavy and aged staining. I order tea and the cup was all stained. It was my first time in this Costa since I've moved to the Lanark area and it will definitely be my last!
