The minute we walked in the door, I felt uncomfortable by the lack of welcome from the staff. It was the Manager (possibly the owner as well)who didn 't even welcome us in. Just said, How many? Two? My grandmother wanted to sit in the back room to be more privatesince we were there to celebrate. He kept cutting her off, not allowing her to speak and said they want to keep all the guestsin the main dining area. Then when she asked if we could sit at a different table so she would be more comfortable, he huffedand said that anywhere we sat would be around other people again, not allowing her to speak and tell him WHY she wanted adifferent table. Our server, Silvana, was not much kinder. Both she and the manager seemed like we were just ruining their daychatting with their friends and regulars. Everyone else that walked through the doors were greeted with Hi! How are you?!Welcome in/back . They have issues with consistency in accommodation and service here. My family had been there a few timesbefore and were graciously allowed to make substitutions and the chef even prepared a dinner dish for them as a lunch with zeroproblems. When my grandmother wanted to have a side of pasta with her meal this time instead of mashed potatoes, she, again, wasimmediately cut off by our server saying absolutely no substitutions . Well ok. She was willing to buy a side of pasta, butkept getting told no substitutions. The only good part of our lunch was Alfredo and the food. That 's it. When my grandmotherasked to speak with the manager, he came over, and continued to just make excuses instead of making it RIGHT. I cut inexplaining why our experience was less than adequate even telling the manager that while he wouldn 't let us sit in the back moreprivate area, there were in fact other diners there who also seemed to be celebrating something because we saw anoth

I had to stop my server each time to ask for refills of my beverage. My server only came to my table to ask for the orderand payment. There is better food out there for the same cost. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is clean. Finding aparking spot is difficult in the neighborhood.

Weiterlesen Considering there is literally no where in the state of CA to get a good hot dog this place has zero competition, I usually go to the Pleasant Hill location which is always fresh and delicious. It's always usually a good dog but my most recent experience(from this location anyways) was not that great, bun was stale and the dog was not fresh.

Sure, it has not the culinary panache of Brett Cooper's Aster over the street, but bite for bite, I would say Hoffmann's offers a more satisfying culinary experience only because cook / owner Karen Hoffmann keeps it simple and hearty with little flowering. Jamie W. and I were the first days of the evening next to the window when we looked past life on Guerrero. We were immediately pulled to the $11 Confit Chicken Wings.

Took 20 mins for first meats to arrive.... just a let down. Then to get the bill ... we were a table.of 2 .... large party gratuity of 20 ..... it was definitely not a 200 dollar meal ..... I would definitely skip it !
