As we had to wait for a group to finish up at Cheek before we could get our table, we were directed to Peaches for a drink. Comprising of two levels the first one with a gorgeous pastel pink retro vibe, and the second a buzzing rooftop bar, Peaches is sure to suit everyone.<br/ <br/ Lovely and prompt service from the bartender, and they currently have a special cocktail called This is a Koala Rescue whereby 100% of the proceeds from the sale of said cocktail goes to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital. It's a beautiful gin based cocktail that's light on the palate and very pleasant to drink, with hints of grapefruit and thyme.<br/ <br/ As with most bars, there are a variety of bar snacks and small bites for those who are peckish. Would definitely be returning here.

Burger Basement is slinging delicious halal burger to the good people of Pascoe Vale, and how lucky are they. With an extensive range of burgers, sides, and also wraps for the health conscious, there's something for everyone here.<br/ <br/ I shared the Lambo Burger with my partner and this was yummy as. The lamb patty was juicy, and oozing bold meaty flavours. The grilled onion added a touch of caramelised sweetness, which balance out the slight kick from the sriracha, and the mellow tzatziki sauce brought out the beautiful flavours of the lamb patty.<br/ <br/ The lemon and herb chicken wrap that my partner stole a bite from was reported to be full of fresh and light flavours. A healthy alternative when you're not after burgers, but still want to eat at a burger joint.<br/ <br/ Timinmelbourne enjoyed his Kentucky Special burger, and we all shared some chicken nuggets, peri peri cheese waffle fries and onion rings. The chicken nuggets were a crowd favourite, bringing back a wave of nostalgia eating nuggets as a kid. The waffle fries were smothered in gooey peri peri cheese, hence less crunchy than if ordered plain, but it was undeniably moreish.<br/ <br/ Casual and friendly vibes all around, and we had a lovely meal that lined my tummy for our dessert adventure to follow. Thanks for having us!<br/ <br/

Amazing value for money and the steak are cooked to perfection. I asked for medium rare and was presented with a juicy and tender steak, no complains whatsoever! Even the sides (chips and salads) are simple and satisfying. I've been recommended here by a few friends and I can see why. A bustling spot that is casual and fun, this is where I'll return when I'm craving for steak.

Good Nights is located on the quieter end of Chapel Street on Windsor, but the lack of foot traffic does not mean this place is not popular. Tables started filling up around peak dinner hours, and once you try the food, it’s no surprise while. <br/ <br/ The Vietnamese-centric menu showcases a variety of common Vietnamese dishes, but with a twist. The Moreton Bay Bug Glass Noodles and Special Pho with bone marrow and ox tail takes these traditional dishes to another level. The juicy Moreton bay bugs were a delight to eat, and broth of the Special Pho oozed a depth of flavour that makes you slurp up every last drop. For a lighter option, the Calamari and Papaya Salad presented itself to be a flawless palate cleanser with its fresh and bright flavours. The Pipis with Chinese doughnuts came with a sauce that is rich, savoury and bold. <br/ <br/ Dessert is a must and the Banana Fritters was just fantastic. The shredded coconut added a crispy and nutty taste to the crispy batter, and you can hear a crunch with every bite. Cocktails are also a must order here. Delicious and the perfect accompaniment to the meal.<br/ <br/ With its casual tropical vibe, delicious food and amazing service, you’ll definitely be guaranteed a good night here!

Calia brings a touch of luxury to Japanese cuisine, priding itself in using only the finest ingredients. Think Sukiyaki Bowl with A5 Japanese wagyu beef, and Ultimate Bowl with uni and foie gras. Obviously the pricing reflects the ingredients used, so it’s not exactly a cheap feed here. <br/ <br/ The Aburi Salmon and the Sukiyaki Bowl both showcased bold yet balanced flavours, definitely an enjoyable feed. The salmon was a tad dry, but given that this meal was delivered, I am giving it the benefit of the doubt that dining in would present a better experience.<br/ <br/ Very much enjoyable was the Miso Crumble Cheesecake – smooth and creamy cheesecake, with a buttery biscuit base. <br/ <br/ The retail store attached to the restaurant offers you the opportunity to purchase the ingredients used in their dishes for you to try to recreate the experience at home. <br/

Good Egg is nothing short of great. The humble egg is the star here, and while it sounds simple on paper, quality produce and skillful execution ensure that it's much more impressive than it sound, or look.<br/ <br/ The bacon and egg bun is exactly as the name suggest but don't let its simplicity fool you. Strips of glistening and juicy bacon, a pile of soft and creamy scrambled eggs, with gooey cheese oozing out, topped with a robust smoky sauce, and finally sandwiched between a sweet and fluffy challah bun.<br/ <br/ The dippy eggs were of the same calibre. Simple but executed well. The toast soldiers were generously buttered and soaked up the yolk like a dream.<br/ <br/ Our coffees were excellent too, as was the exceptionally friendly service. Nothing can beat the simple pleasures in life, and Good Egg is a prime example of this.

Hidden in Paramount Shopping Centre Food Court is Asia Unique. You can’t really tell what cuisine they specialised in by its name but once you take a look at its menu, you will realised without a doubt that this is a Thai joint. You’ll also see that the majority of the customer is Thai, which is always a good sign.<br/ <br/ I tried the Boat Noodle on a friend’s recommendation and was blown away. The broth was brimming with amazing depth of flavour – a combination of sweet, tangy and peppery. The Kway Jub with dark soup also had a sensational flavour profile, rather similar to the boat noodle soup but much richer, with a more herbal undertone and less tangy. I guarantee that you will there will be no leftover in your bowl.<br/ <br/ The Thai Milk Tea is one of the best I have ever tried. Balanced in sweetness, with a hint of milky creaminess yet bold and robust in flavour. In fact, the beautiful aroma of the milk tea is the dominant smell that greet you once you reach this place.<br/ <br/ Generous portion sizes, great value for money and friendly service, everything here hit the spot. When I was having my meal here, I was already thinking about when my next visit will be, and that to me, is irrefutable proof of how great this place is.

Amazing lunch deal here where you get to choose a main, and it comes with sides dishes, rice, miso soup and dessert, all for $25. Definitely worth coming back again as the dishes changes everyday, hence you can be assured of the freshest and finest quality dishes each time.<br/ <br/ The chicken katsu and fish katsu were both fried to crisped perfection, while the meat within remained tender. The grilled salmon was delicious and fresh, and a much lighter option compared to the katsu dishes. A filling and most enjoyable meal!

Can't go wrong with Vietnamese on Victoria Street; in fact, many can rival those in Footscray. Thanh Phong is one of the more consistent ones and also one of the cleaner ones on Victoria Street. Their menu run the gamut from pho to broken rice to congee and to numerous cooked to order dishes. It will probably take me a year to try everything on the menu. Creatures of habit that we are, we tend to gravitate towards the broken rice. The grilled pork is the star of the dish never dry, succulent and full of flavour. Service can be a bit abrupt, the man manning the floor looks like he is always rushing to get back to watching the tv.

Fish and chips shops are aplenty in Melbourne but not all of them are created equal. For those searching for a one that sets the bar high, then head over to Scales Fish Chippery. Bright, spacious and airy, with gorgeous shades of aquamarine tiles, the interior exudes a beachside feel to it.<br/ <br/ Tucking into the Reef Pack ,which comprised of a fried fish of the day, fried prawns and a crab stick, I was impressed with the thin crispy batter, and also the soft, slightly flaky fish that managed to hold its texture well. The beautiful batter was also evident in both the prawns and the crab stick. Speaking of which, the prawns, in both the fried and grilled version, were plump juicy morsels of yum. <br/ <br/ The Seafood Skewer Pack, in which I chose the seafood skewer and the scallops skewer, were flawless in execution, taste and freshness. The brown rice and the Greek salad helped balanced out the meal with healthy eating vibe, but I definitely could not say no to the hot crunchy chips. <br/ <br/ Most definitely a place I would recommend to all! Thanks for the delicious meal.
