Weiterlesen I had a wonderful experience here just over six months ago, at the height of the tourist season. This visit, at a slow time of year, was disappointing. My veal tongue was as I remembered it from my last visit. Unfortunately, however, this time around it was excessively salty. My companion's cabrito was OK, but nothing to come back for. We've had far, far better. The dining room is as charming as ever. The real problem was the farcical table service. The charming proprietress seated us in a nearly empty dining room and took our order. Shortly thereafter a party of nine Portuguese/American tourists arrived, with a reservation. (The adults all spoke at least some Portuguese, the children not a word. Our soups did arrive. Thereafter nothing happened with out meal for an extremely lengthy period of time. It was not possible to get the proprietress' attention for 20 minutes, simply to ask that our bottle of wine be brought to the table. Anesthesia would have made our wait more bearable. Lady's sole and exclusive focus was the party of nine. Finally, two waiters arrived, as did two more tables of hungry people. However none of the three staff members seemed to have the least notion of who was to do what for which tables. We live in Portugal; we're accustomed to the pace of dining in this country. We do not expect speedy service. However, this was beyond the limits of the acceptable.

Entramos casi por casualidad, pues no está muy bien señalizado y cenamos fantásticamente bien. La carta es extensísima y en un principio pensamos que no iban a tener de la mayoría de las cosas, pero tan solo nos avisaron de un plato que se les había acabado. Buenas raciones, como los champiñones rebozados, y buenas tostas, a cual más apetecibles. Limpieza, trato agradable, buena relación calidad-precio. Todo un lujo semiescondido.
