This place had so much promise. We were craving Indian food, and this was one of the few halal restaurants we found in Victoria. We should have seen the signs e... Weiterlesen This place had so much promise. We were craving Indian food, and this was one of the few halal restaurants we found in Victoria. We should have seen the signs early on that things would not go well. We waited to receive our menus then...waited a good long time before someone came to take our order. One waitress apologized and explained that they were short on staff. For appetizers we ordered chicken pakoras and grilled paneer. Those were, without a doubt, the highlight of the evening. We ordered a few entrees, including tandoori chicken. The other entrees were fine but the tandoori chicken was not fresh. When we pointed this out to the waitress then the manager, their response was less than satisfactory. The manager offered a discount on the dish rather than a refund. We asked him to just smell the cooked chicken and he could judge for himself. After another discussion he relented to refunding the dish. Maybe we just caught them on a bad night, but we will not be returning here.
