Weiterlesen I've eaten twice on Pollen Street Social. Once for business lunch and once for personal dinner. The youngest is the personal dinner. The verdict? I would not eat here again if there were no significant changes. I expect more from a Michelin Star restaurant, which invites top dollar / pound for their food / service. Two tasting menus and wine paring cost us just over £400 $551, which was not worth it in the end. My biggest problem with PSS is that their plants concentrated tasting menu is vegetarian and can be made vegan by ingredients. Why not be creative and add different ingredients, or offer a vegan menu overall? Most items on the tasting menu are repeated ingredients and tastes from previous courses. A lot of the flavor used was an acidic lemon flavor that was good for a dish but later became very old. The only unforgettable course for me was the Pea risotto, which might have been amazing if they replaced the excluded ingredients with something else. The lack of creativity for vegan dishes was disappointing. We were drilled through the food and actually quite bored all the time since the dinner took 4 HOURS who asked us for the bill so that we could go at the end. Finally, the person I was fed with did not get the vegan menu and the first serving was an afternoon tea . Irritating, the restaurant placed both the non- vegan and vegan items on the same serving plate. I had a big problem with it, but they insisted it was good. One of the items served with the afternoon tea was identical to the non vegan version and those clowns that told me everything were complete WRONG. My dining room partner fortunately ate the article from his side first and knew that he had the wrong one and that she did not vegan on my side. The staff was not susceptible to us when we told them that they messed up and the non vegan product on my side and the vegan product on the other no excuses from the restaurant. That was irritating. That said, I recommend separating your food if you're eating with a not vegan here. Lunch in January 2020 The vegan tasting menu for lunch was much smaller, but the service lasted a while. Same agreement with exclusion of ingredients for vegan versions. Hopefully they will get with the time that Veganism is given huge in London.
