Weiterlesen Be prepared this is a downstairs restaurant with a very dark entrance and stairwell. Service was slow, then Ok, then slow, then better and that is the way the service went for the night. Food was good not outstanding but hot, edible and freshly prepared. We ate small plates as we went along so we were pleased with our choices and the preparation. Be aware this is a karaoke place, but the rooms for karaoke are outside the dining are and the only real noise you hear from the rooms is when people walk through the doorways. It was fun to see large groups of people using the rooms. Yes, they were consuming alcohol, so lots of noise and laughter and who can deny people from having a good time. Would we come back? Yes without any expectation of spectacular food.

What I found was a warm atmosphere and many social guests I had a really nice evening. I did not go with any great expectations about the food, but I was very pleasantly surprised, the food was really good, original in much respect and very well made! The staff was polite and the melodies were also funny for a great whole night!! Will definitely return with Fressern!

Weiterlesen The Balham branch is at the back of a food court, we sat outside, there’s a bit of a drains smell and there was furniture being moved through the area in a shopping cart, so it wasn’t great, but not a big issue. The toilet had no running water in the basin so had to get a wet cloth from the chef. The waiter was new and inexperienced but very friendly and helpful. Mussels somewhat overcooked and dry, steak was properly cooked but meat a bit tough and the vegetables and chips were good. A couple of glasses of wine which were good (the red was a bit too warm). Not of the same calibre as the Tooting branch, but fine.

Weiterlesen Während der (kurzen) MIttagspause eines Seminars, machten wir uns als Teilnehmergruppe auf die Suche nach einem Restaurant. Zeitlich begrenzt und zudem als Gruppe war es nicht einfach, doch etwas zu essen zu bekommen. Glücklicherweise fanden wir das Dionysos. Dort war weder Zeitdruck noch Gruppenumfang ein Problem. Kurzerhand wurde der Tisch gefüllt mit unterschiedlichen Speisen, von denen sich jeder bedienen konnte. So konnten wir, obwohl wir nicht angemeldet waren, kurzfristig und innerhalb der sehr begrenzten Zeit doch unsere Mittagspause genießen. Der wundervolle Garten hatte auch einen Anteil darin. Am Tag danach sind wir dan nochmal dorthin. Und wieder gleich zufrieden.

Weiterlesen My friends were marooned in a dreary Heathrow hotel after a cancelled flight. We searched Opentable for a decent meal in a warm, friendly environment.... not easy around there, especially on a Sunday evening. From the moment we walked in until we (eventually departed, Kaniz was a delight. Friendly staff; freshly made food; just the overall ambience we were hoping for. Instead of just ordering from the menu we talked to our waiter about what we liked and asked for recommendations. That led to a fresh fish dish (Tilapia , a complex, aromatic chicken dish and several vegetables; I don't remember the exact names or ingredients. The Tilapia dish was a bit too spicy for one of us, but perfect for me. For us, Kaniz transformed an otherwise depressing evening in to a nice, warm, uplifting culinary and social experience. It's very uplifting to discover a team of nice people working hard to deliver a great service, especially in the most unexpected places. Delayed and cancelled flights at Heathrow may be inevitable, but bad food and service are not. I hope that the hospitality at Kaniz will continue to uplift travellers and locals for many years to come :

Weiterlesen Als ich das Café betrat, gab es eine große Auswahl an Speisen. Dies sollte schnell vom Servicepersonal erledigt werden. Von erstklassig zu sprechen, wäre wahrscheinlich untertrieben. Vielmehr haben die beiden Jungs gezeigt, was es bedeutet, echten Service zu bieten. In meinen eigenen vier Wänden spüre ich oft das Gute, das mir an diesem Ort widerfahren ist. Das Essen war auch köstlich.
