One drawback: mediocre cocktails. Cute festive decor and friendly staff.

Weiterlesen Went to Back on the Beach Cafe for a private event on Thanksgiving Day. Our dedicated menu was a traditional, tasty and abundant meal. I live in the area but had never been to this spot. It's idyllic with indoor tables and also outside, practically on the sand, facing the beautiful Santa Monica Pier and beach. Their standard menu looks good, especially for a variety of breakfast combos, with reasonable prices for the area. Planning on going soon for breakfast. Their parking lot is spacious, with auto-pay hourly rates.

Weiterlesen Had lunch at Meson o Forno last week and really enjoyed it. I travel from the US to Celanova about 2-3 times a year to visit family and had never been to o Forno. A relative treated me to a great meal. We had grilled hake fish, served with stewed potato rounds that had a mild garlic flavor and sliced fresh tomatoes. We ordered the famous Galician fried Padron peppers (the mild type . I don't like peppers, but loved these. This was a big platter of peppers for just two people. We also had a great bottle of red wine, coffee-flavored flan and coffee. Everything was delicious. It's a small place with attentive service and considered one of the better dining spots in this small town. It may be a bit more pricey than other spots, but is still a good deal. (Also love Pizzeria Sicilia nearby. Less than a minute's walk to the majestic and historical Monasterio de San Salvador with huge church and beautiful cloistered gardens.
