Weiterlesen Pulled in here and to be honest I wasn 't expecting much from it, being a little roadside cafe. Firstly, I was relieved that they took EFTPOS as we had stopped at a pie shop which didn 't take EFTPOS and charged for sauce! Who the hell carries cash these days? Anyway, we had a sausage roll, a beef pie and a steak cheese and bacon pie and OMG!! The sausage roll and tomato relish were life changing! I 've never had a sausage roll so good in my life. I now feel angry about all the inferior sausage rolls I 've had in my life, how can they share a name with this delicious piece of heaven?! The pastry was buttery and the filling had so much flavour. It was beautiful. If I had another child I would name it 'The Hive Sausage Roll ' in it 's honour, that 's how strongly I feel about this sausage roll and I don 't even like sausage rolls much. The pies were delicious too and some of the best pies I 've ever had. I was just so full after the sausage roll that I didn 't really get to enjoy my pie. Having recently moved to the area from Melbourne, I can now happily turn my nose up at the Melbourne food scene with their deconstructed everything, and take comfort knowing that the world 's greatest sausage roll is down the road in Berambing.
