25.10.2023 - 07:59La Coquelle is the pot in which the fondue savoyarde is made. After going up to the aiguille du midi to a bare 30 degrees (it was warm) we stopped for lunch directly across the terminal of the téléphérique. The restaurant offers a wide variety of local specialties. We settled for the basic fondue with a side salad. The fondue was very good but after eating on coquille with all the bread you are replete. They offer a “formule” with charcuterie and potatoes. I was glad not to have ordered it it would have been well too much. Other choice includes the raclette. For a very reasonable price we had a really enjoyable lunch. The service was a little slow to start but they got some help and everything was fine.
