Weiterlesen We stayed lake side in a stand alone cabin (Wikasa). Two bedrooms (2bath) and living room. Fireplace was great, really made the cabin feel come alive. The Adirondack decor was was well done, beds were very comfortable and the view amazing. All the staff were very helpful and happy. Adirondak Ed was a great story teller and The Adk Raptor guy had some great owls and hawks, very informative, kids loved holding the owls. Each cabin had had their own view. 2 min drive to town. I would stay there again.

We have a second home in Upper Jay and have been going to Baxter Mountain Tavern for years. It's our favorite restaurant. It is at the top of a pass and the location and view is great. It is almost above the road from the shorter of the two Baxter Mountain Trailheads. The food is generally very good to excellent. Because it is from the hectic of Lake Placider, it gets more from a local crowd and much less tourists. And it only has a cozy friendly feeling. My favorite dish was always the pork chops.

I don't understand why Ben and Jerry's gets so much credit for a socially good company while they still exploit cows for milk, which is not to be done without abuse. They were sued for false advertising for a while because they said that the milk comes from happy cows, and still some of them through factory cultivation. They won the lawsuit by a technique by argumenting that they never said *all* their milk comes from happy cows. They then removed the good cow's claim from their advertising and did not care for animal welfare. Updated by previous review on 2022-01-31
