Weiterlesen This was my first time trying Japhy’s in Arcata. I’m not a huge fan eating just soup for lunch but I thought I could go for a soup and salad type of meal. I got clam chowder which I thought was pretty mediocre. It felt like the soup was crowded with potato’s and chives. I would stick to getting clam chowder at a seafood restaurant. The salad cost $5.50 and it was just lettuce, a few carrots, and a lot of ranch. A side salad for that price should have at least a couple of other vegetables in it. I wasn’t impressed by this place but people seem to enjoy it. It was not my cup of tea… or should I say it was not my cup of soup.
