I make a pretty good batch of chili myself but I have to say, we do enjoy going to Wendy's for a quick bowl of chili when we are out and about doing our errands... Weiterlesen I make a pretty good batch of chili myself but I have to say, we do enjoy going to Wendy's for a quick bowl of chili when we are out and about doing our errands. It a good alternative to having a hamburger.....and perhaps a little healthier choice with the beans and tomato sauce. It's a safe bet and good value for the price we've never had a bad batch in all the times we visited.

Have stopped here a couple times. A few times we couldn't get a parking space and didn't stop. Their menu offerings are fresh. We never use their promo coupons... We never use their promo coupons because the vouchers dictate that you purchase TWO beverages and I don't drink while eating. So we never use their promotional vouchers. ONE beverage would make a sale for this couple.

Went in at lunchtime, just the two of us. The restaurant was very understaffed. But it was the state of cleanliness in the restaurant and the washrooms that gav... The floors were dirty and slippery (greasy). This is during Covid, there are many extra measures put in place everywhere, yet the only functioning sink was the only non automated faucet, most of the stalls were dirty and had been used. This would not be acceptable at anytime. The staff also uses the washroom I was told. Sorry, no self respecting person would. Get a plumber if someone cannot flush the toilets. Disgusting. We left. Interesting to note that when we were on our way out the pest control company was also leaving from the kitchen area. I am not saying Swiss Chalet is a terrible place. But this was a very disturbing visit. Have no idea about the food. I didn’t stay.

This time the service was slow and a couple of the items we really wanted from the menu were unavailable so we worked around those. A basket of buns started the meal and then the soup or salad. When the main meals arrived they were in varying stages of hot (as in temperature). One plate had semi flaccid carrots which were passably warm while another had vegetables with some crunch. The main course on my plate was only warm. It was not a busy night and our server only passed by with no interest in our dining. At the end of the evening it took some time to get our bill. Disappointing.

I agree with some comments that their food is a little dirty. But it's not completely tasteless. I prefer food with less salt/sodium. Beef was much better than other Chinese restaurants. It is not in too much baking soda, but still delicate. We will definitely order more.
