Weiterlesen Very nice restaurant with great food. My only problem was that at our original reservation I said it was a very special birthday, so we can have the table at the fireplace. I made reservations months in advance when I also booked the Inn. When I confirm, I mentioned it again and was told they would make a note. Then again when they called the day before I mentioned it and was told they would make a note. Then I was told again that they would make a note. My thought was all the other comments!! When we checked in for our reservation, we were a few minutes too early and we said that they couldn't check us in, as there were a few more before us. The tables were all literally empty, so not sure why we had to wait, but I said again we should have the table at the fireplace and only then did the woman (which was not very nice) said they did not do certain table reservations!!! I had asked for two months and not one person said that before. Also there was a couple with a private table in the library all themselves, and the room is not part of the restaurant... Why were they treated with a special table when I tried to ask for a few months... that our dinner started very bad and was a special occasion that pulled me out.

Weiterlesen Das Casablanca liegt versteckt in einem Hinterhof im Stadtteil Bockenheim. Dadurch ist es noch so etwas wie ein Insidertip. Von außen sieht das Cafe aus, wie eine Werkstattshalle, doch die Ausstattung soll an den Film Casablanca erinnern. So hängt z.B. ein Auto-Kühlergrill an der Wand, die Beleuchtung ist einfach aber sehr urig. Es gibt längere Tische und eine Couch, das ganze ist allerdings nichts für Leute, die modern-stylishes Ambiente mögen. Es wirkt schon eher ein bisschen wie aus den 70ern, hat dadurch aber seinen eigenen Charme. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam, es gibt gute Cocktails zu normalen Preisen und Bier (ich habe bis jetzt nur Flaschenbier gesehen). Essen gibt es auch, hier liegt das größte Problem für mich: die Küche ist nicht richtig abgetrennt vom Restaurantbereich, dadurch kommt der mitunter starke Geruch im ganzen Restaurant zum Tragen, das ist nicht immer angenehm. Die Gerichte sind großzügig, ich kann die Pizza empfehlen, groß und reich belegt!

Es gab keinen Druck, uns zu überstürzen. Die Vielfalt ist groß und es ist sicherlich für jeden etwas dabei.... Die Atmosphäre war gemütlich und das Personal freundlich. Ich hatte die Tortellini, die absolut lecker war.

Um 20:20 Uhr immer noch keine Lieferung. Nach unserem Anruf wurde der Laden bereits geschlossen, und die Lieferung kam schließlich lauwarm an, obwohl das Essen schmeckt.
