Weiterlesen Walked into this restaurant without a booking. Seated quickly. Ordered off the menu and food arrived within 10 minutes. Food was good but you can get the same at your local. What was really disappointing was the music. It was so loud to the point we couldn’t hear ourselves talk. Myself and my two friends almost to stand to hear each other. A waitress came over and informed us our voices were too loud and we had to keep it down. This was a restaurant she said, not a nightclub, which is hilarious because of the volume of the music and everyone around us talking at the same level. We ate paid and left. As we were walking out. She had the audacity to ask a co worker within ear shot of us if we’d paid. Completely unacceptable and rude. Won’t be back again.

The beers were the most...expensive I've ever paid in Melbourne which is one of the reasons the place is so empty. It is tired, well in need of a refurb, has sticky carpets, and lacks any character. Problem is am sure because the place has such a bad reputation, can't imagine there is the money to re-decorate it and whilst dropping the beer price would increase trade, it would take a long time for it to lose its current bad reputation. Even the food is very overpriced for what it is on the nights I went in there the only custom was the landlord and his friends. Shame a missed opportunity.
