The Hase is an excellent pub next to Hessle Church. There is a wide range of beers and lagers on offer including three cask conditioned hand pulled real ales, something a lot of pubs can't manage so full marks to the landlord. It is a bit of a tardis it looks small from the outside but it goes back a long way. The pub sells excellent food at reasonable prices, the staff are very friendly, a great pub for a drink or a bite to eat. Highly recommended. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

One of two pubs on the main street, the black horse, is a friendly traditional pub. There is a good choice of beers larger and cider, including two hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition when i visited. It has a nice cosy L shaped room with a pool table at one end. There is an outside seating area behind the pub next to the car park. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The Crooked Billet is a friendly traditional village pub. There is a wide choice of beers lager and cider including John Smith's bitter and two hand pulled cask conditioned real ales which were in excellent condition when I visited. This cosy 400 year old former Tetley pub serves meals and Sunday roast. I haven't tried the food, but the menu looks very inviting. There is a dart board in the bar, a covered outdoor seating area, and the pub is dog friendly. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the menu. Parking: There is a large free customer car park. Kid-friendliness: The pub is child friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is flat, easy access for wheelchair users. The Marquis of Granby is a nice, traditional, friendly community pub in the heart of the village. It is a cosy pub with a pool table and dartboard. There was reasonable choice of beers, lagers and cider, but no cask conditioned real ales. But to be fair, the new landlady has only just taken over the pub. The pub is child friendly and has a good big car park. I will definitely be back in a few weeks' time to see what beers they have. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The Tiger Inn is a nice friendly village pub. There is a good variety of beers, lager and cider including two hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, when I called in the quality was spot on. There is a traditional bar with a pool table and a nice cosy, separate lounge with a large dining room. The bar and part of the lounge are dog friendly. The pub has a large free car park. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the menu. Parking: There is plenty of parking outside the front of the pub, and the pub also has its own car park. Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is flat and the pub is all on one level. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The masters Bar is a nice attractive traditional pub. There is a wide selection of beers and lagers, but sadly no cask conditioned real ale. The beer is probably the cheapest in the town John Smith's £2.50 a pint and Incredibly only £2.30 Monday to Friday. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, it's only a small pub so there is no room for a dart board or a pool table. Up the spiral staircase there is another nice seating area and another flight of stairs leads to the toilets. If you're not bothered about cask conditioned ale, then definitely give this pub a try. I really enjoyed my visit.
