Restaurant bewertenThe food was wonderful. There was a soup of the day, nice salads, galattes , sandwiches and quiches to chose from. Wonderful desserts as well (pies, cookies, scones). You could also take savory 5 inch pies home. Very nice cafe. There were about 3 tables that seated 2, 2 tables that would seat 4 to 6 and seats at the window. The owners were wonderful. Food came quickly and service was nice. Everyone in my group enjoyed everything they had which included salads, galette, quiche and sandwich. We finished off with se wonderful desert and Kawartha ice cream.
Assorted sandwiches and quiches along with freshly baked pies, cookies and scones which are very reasonably priced.
Wonderful freshly baked goods here at riverside pie cafe! Lovely/friendly staff. Great menu options that also include a new ice cream bar!
Went for lunch with my parents and my sister. My sister had been there a few times already and wanted us to try it. This place is cute, it is small with about 5 or 6 tables, plus an eating bar at the window with stools. The tables were never empty, people would come in and sit at eating bar and a table would open. I thought this was a good sign and I was right, our food was excellent. Three of us had the quiche, they had one with meat , cheese and veggies and one with cheese and veggies. I had the veggie quiche ($4 for a huge deep dish piece) with a side salad ($3).....Apple Cranberry! I gave my Mom half of my salad with her quiche and we both had more than enough. My Dad had a bowl of Lemon Chicken and rice soup with his quiche, it was only $3 with the quiche and it was a nice size bowl and Dad said it was delicious. My sister had a Veggie Fajhita Gallette and a side of soup of the day which was cream of spinach and she said it was excellent as well as the gallette. Dessert is of course amazing, we bought four different kinds and cut them up in four and we all did trysies, everything was soooo good. My parents brought a Veggie Fajhita Gallette and a Pork Enchilada Hand pie home for lunch for the next day, both $5. They split them and enjoyed both with a salad. I saw a lot of people order the pot pies they looked really good! We are definitely returning.
I've never had the opportunity to stop in and have some breakfast or lunch -- BUT I have stopped by quickly to pick up some of their baked goods. What a treat and I mean......each and every piece I've ever tried has been fantastic! Their Passion fruit pie - so fresh, and.........the taste was ever so exotic! So far, it has been my favourite! Today, I bought some spinach quiche (delicious) and a small lemon meringue pie with a few of their awesome scones. The scones were cherry chip and chocolate chip. All I can tell you is that everything I have tried in the past is scrumptious! I used to travel to a bakery in Birmingham, Michigan called Charlie's on Old Woodward Avenue for his scones, brownies, and other specialities he used to offer - and the scones are very comparable. Charlie's isn't there anymore but the next best thing is right here at Riverside Pie Co. (I'm so happy about that!) One of these days, I'm definitely going to have to make it over there on the weekend for their breakfast sandwich in which they use Robbie's breakfast sausage - the best breakfast sandwich ever! What I love about Riverside Pie Co. is that the owners are local, so very friendly, take the time to explain anything they have out on their cute displays and they are very creative - they change things up. Awesome place to try........I've been a returning customer ever since they've opened!
