Restaurant bewertenThe food was wasn’t as good as pre covid. The whole place just feels run down and outdated. Disappointed we chose to spend our Father’s Day lunch here.
We arrived five minutes after their 9am opening time and were greeted with the comment ‘sorry, we don’t have any milk at the moment’. We agreed that we would,have coffee without milk as we were in s bit of a hurry. The breakfast was mediocre, brittle toast clearly from yesterday’s bread, one half rasher of bacon £1.50 as an extra with scrambled egg, eggs benedict with bright yellow glutinous hollandaise sauce and grey ham…They were clearly having a bad day, and so were we. Having been to this Cafs Rouge the day it opened, this was a huge let down.
This restaurant has a very friendly staff. Husband and I had a delicious dinner of sea bass accompanied by broccoli, green beans and wonderful potatoes. Shared creme brulee for dessert. Yum. The manager served us and was absolutely charming. Would eat here again.

We re-visited the Cafe Rouge because it was so good last time and we weren't disappointed. Great choice of food, reasonably priced and very dog friendly. The staff were excellent and able to accommodate my wife's food allergies without a problem. Highly recommended.
