Restaurant bewertenWe’ve had two completely different experiences. First time we came here was about a month ago, and my brunch burger was the best I’ve ever had and I loved the vibe. I decided right then and there that I’m bringing my family for Father’s Day here, so we made a reservation. What a disappointment. The staff were so visibly stressed out that it rubbed off on me and I wasn’t hungry anymore. I feel bad for them, and understand how overwhelmed they were. It took a good 15 minutes to get noticed by our server, who missed several things in our order, and was absolutely struggling, and we didn’t want to inconvenience her further. Even our food wasn’t nearly as good as our first time. Asked for one berry tiramisu at the end, which took over 20 minutes, and at that point I just wanted to walk out. Please take care of your staff, don’t overbook your place, and give them the means to provide a good service they’re capable of. (Side note: they were out of BLTE both times we were here.
Just got in Williamsport after hours of traveling, just wanted a drink and a meal. Were greeted and seated. 20 minutes and no mention of a drink!!! Several other people came in and apparently were “regulars” they were greeted and sat immediately!!!! We left…
The waitresses were so sweet and accommodating! The poke bowl was delicious and the atmosphere amazing. Thank you, I will definitely be coming back again!
Visiting our daughter at college and a Google Maps search for food landed us at Barrel 135. The reviews sold us and after stepping inside, we were not disappointed! The cocktail menu had a lot of great options, we tried 4 or 5 and were impressed with each one for different reasons. Food was not what I expected walking in, but was right up our alley for something different. The short rib ramen was great, nice big chunks of meat, a good kick in the broth, and was something that I wouldn’t typically land on at a first-time visit… but glad I did. The poke bowl and seared tuna were also great options and tasted great. Desserts were out of this world, we literally each got our own because we couldn’t decide on one to share. Again, zero disappointment in that decision and would do it again. Our server was fun and energetic, made us feel like we had been friends for years, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We will most certainly take this stop again when we’re back in the area.
This place has been one of my favorites since I went to Lycoming College back in 2012! I live on the other side of the country and every rare occasion that I'm back in Williamsport, I make it a point to stop into Barrel and grab martinis (that are always delicious and creative) and food that is always above par for Williamsport. Thank you Barrel for being such an amazing long standing restaurant!
