The Oven Door - Wetherby

The door is a wonderful bakery. it has a large selection of broths; I love especially spelzbrot) and delicious cake! since March the doors have been very friendly to our door. we are so grateful for this service. a special thanks to an william and his team. now on the delicious mint cake.

Fantastic local bakery the bread is fantastic; as are the cakes..... in fact, it's simpler to say, it's all fantastic. Not to mention, they've been a real asset to the local community delivering food during the challenging winter weather and to people isolating or shielding. I strongly recommend.

We have been lucky enough to use The Oven Door delivery service this year and can highly recommend their delicious breads and pastries. The vanilla slices are a triumph! I have been a customer of The Oven Door in Wetherby since a couple of years after it opened in the 1970s. It has always been and still is a source of superb baked goods, made on the premises and sold with friendly care. They have a huge range of bread – my favourites are their organic wholemeal, made to order, and the rye spelt loaf. They make an unbelievable number of sweet treats, such as Danish pastries in several varieties and a wide choice of savouries and sandwiches. They even make jams and chutneys to go with them. During the ongoing pandemic, they have really ramped up as a community service, delivering their produce, to order, in Wetherby and the surrounding villages. They take orders by email or through their app, amongst other methods. It is an incredible amount of effort to keep a quality business producing this quantity of excellent food, not to mention delivering it, day after day and always with a smile and a cheerful word. I say well done to the whole team and I hope the local community appreciates the treasure that they are and continues to reward them with their custom.

Used The Oven Door’s delivery service during lockdown in the Spring successfully. Have continued using their products via click and collect ever since. We really like their Large Granary loaves which we order sliced as it makes freezing easier. The bread keeps well frozen. Tea cakes are a treat and the granary and white bread cakes are excellent.
