Marcello's Pizzeria - VAUGHN

Went for dinner last night with friends and was shocked with the owner 's response to a simple request. I wanted a cup of tomato sauce on the side with my calamari. He refused. Wouldn 't budge. His response was not the way it is served and he will not accommodate my request. No discussion. If I wasn 't hungry, I would have left. Zero customer service skills! Will not go back.. there are a lot of Italian restaurants who would do anything for the customer to have a postive experience. Not this owner. If you want something different or prepared differently.. this is not the place to go

Being a frequent customer of varying degrees of dining hospitality GTA Toronto wide, it is with great pleasure i share a quick review on my Marcellos Pizzeria dining experience. On this occasion, my party consisted of 4 adults 2 couples with appetites travel dining experience . While knowing little about the Vaughan demographic, we were most impressed on the level of warmth comfort of this venue. It allowed for a sense of ease relaxation, coupled with a flair of fine fare dining with design appeal. Once seated in a very comfortable booth table, we were greeted by courteous staff tended to rather quickly. The menu was easy to navigate, and the selections covered our pallette expectations quite nicely. The specials were well explained so, it made for ordering a easy experience. We did not have to wait more than 8-10 minutes tops for all our courses subsequent to that, it was well worth it. The Chefs presented outstanding fare our group was loving the bountiful portion sizes of the Primi. At some point during our evening, we met the Proprietor who was warm, courteous grateful for our patronage. Myself my party were beyond content with our experience at Marcellos Pizzeria will not only return, but will gladly refer the establishment, to those in our social circle :

Amazing service. I went with my husband for a date night and our waiter Mack was lovely. He made us feel so special checking up on us regularly, even with how busy it was. I truly feel it was 5 star service. Hadn’t gone in a while as we live quite far but now we know the quality of the food and service and will visit more often. Will always ask for Mack.

While we enjoyed the place a few times in the past we were a large group came in early for dinner since they don’t take reservations, even though the place was still empty they wouldn’t seat us even though we agreed to split into 2 tables. Manager was super rude as well. So disappointing. Luckily other great Italian restaurants such as Gratzi in the area who were more them happy to accept the business. Marcellos just lost a client.

The restaurant has very poor allergy protocol and accommodations. Don’t recommend for people with food allergies.
