Restaurant bewertenLast minute decision but a pleasant surprise. First time visit so did not know what to expect. Four for a late lunch and we each had a Kickass rice bowl. A great mix of flavours, we enjoyed them very much. Looking forward to more visits to sample the rest of the menu.
Our family was visiting Vancouver and we picked Torafuku by chance for dinner one night. What a great find! The place is quite small but welcoming. The staff there are delightful and seem to really enjoy what they do. The food well, the food is fantastic. They offer a tasting menu for two that looks great, but since we were 5 people we ordered individual dishes to share. Each one was quite unique and absolutely delicious. If you have nothing else there, have the cornbread and the cheesecake (Basque style). Really a great find. Go. Enjoy.
Torafuku, the Pan-Asian restaurant, on Vancouver’s Main Street, in the culinary joint neighborhood of Main Street Chinatown, is offering a very exciting Valentine’s Day menu, available from February 11. It includes four appetizers to share, an entree with a “starch” to share and dessert. It costs 65$ per person and draws upon the various cuisines of Asia, with this menu’s main focus on Korean dishes. Best to book soon. Service is great and dishes reach across the delicious offerings of Asia. Posted by S Fuller.
We had an amazing dining experience here. The food was so good and the service was great. We did the set menu and it was absolutely amazing. Definitely would recommend checking this place out.
Torafuku started out as a food truck if I remember correctly. I like their play on Japanese flavours. I always get their karaage lunch rice bowl. It's affordable take out and fills you up. Another good option is the half pork belly and half chicken karaage if you can't decide. Their chicken is really crispy but still has a thin coating. I also like the spicy mayo and chili they add on top (although I do like spicy food, so might be biased). When I go dine in at this place, I also get their crack salad. It is quite good too. Service inside is mostly self serve, you go in, order your food and find a table to sit at. Ambiance inside is very industrial chic with high ceilings.
