Restaurant bewertenThe restaurant is located near a college campus so definitely has a college feel. Udon soups were very good and very affordable (see above: college campus). The different donburi were just ok. I had a hotate donburi which was forgettable.
I love this place! The prices are fantastic and the portions are generous. A dinner for two can cost under $20 and still leave you very satisfied. The staff is Japanese, which is reassuring as to the quality and authenticity of the food. They’re also very polite and efficient, which makes coming here a pleasure. Just keep in mind that the place is quite small and can get a bit cramped due to its popularity, though there’s always the option to sit outside in the foodcourt in which the restaurant is located.
This is a hidden gem of a restaurant / eatery. It is located in 'The Grange' food court @ McCaul and Dundas Streets. If you are near China Town, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the University of Toronto or the Ontario College of Art and Design University this is one of the best places to eat Japanese food that is NOT overpriced. Also skip all the other food places inside the Grange - they make no effort comparatively. The Japanese ambiance is provided by the simple practicality infused in to almost everything about this restaurant and its staff. It’s worth a visit to understand this. The prices on the menu are worth every effort to get to this restaurant and the taste, quality and size of serving for the food is just as rewarding. The staff is very courteous and professional and if there’s a wait as in my case they were quite apologetic.I really recommend finding your way to this restaurant and eating a meal that is well prepared and worth your time and money.
Busiest restaurant in the little Hawkers corner below Village in the Grange and the smells were good. Lots of animated banter, Japanese clientele and friendly staff so gave it a try. The food didn't disappoint- "street food" it was, fresh cooked, tasty and good value.
Good selection of basic fare, nothing fancy, however some nice twists. Mainly udon and rice bowls. Usually busy, very good bang for your buck.
