While staying in the area, this restaurant came highly recommended. I ordered the cod and chips, and they were exactly as they should be: the batter was crispy, and the chips were delicious. Some of the chips were a bit small, but that was likely due to the type of potatoes used.

Have you ever revisited a beloved restaurant, bakery, or takeaway after years, only to be met with disappointment? After nearly 10 years of visiting Smugglers, I can confidently say that their quality and excellence have never wavered. Consistency is key here. My only downside is that once you try Smugglers, no other fish and chip shop will ever compare.

We stopped by after a 5-mile walk along the coast, and everyone in our group was eager for some fish and chips. The service was quick, and the food was of good quality and well-prepared. Overall, the portion sizes were reasonable—not too large and not too small—offered at a fair price.

This is our third visit to Cornwall and our third visit to this fish and chip shop in a year. It is, without a doubt, the best fish and chip shop we've ever been to! The food is fantastic! It's worth the 5.5-hour drive just to experience the satisfaction of these fish and chips. We will definitely be back before we head home!
