Restaurant bewertenWe took the bus to Birchington to explore the town leisurely. Starting on one side of the high street, we decided to stop by this café connected to a bakery. Despite it being a busy Saturday with a Christmas market, we managed to find a table in the main area with a heater. A friendly young lady greeted us, handed us menus, and our coffees and food arrived within 15 minutes. The food was excellent – I enjoyed a sausage sandwich on white bloomer bread, while my wife opted for scrambled eggs on whole meal brown bread. We will definitely return when we are in town again, perhaps on a quieter weekday. The bread and cakes in the shop were selling fast, and they looked delicious and reasonably priced.
I haven't been to this restaurant in years, but it has been recently renovated, especially the outdoor seating area. I placed my order with the lovely server Stacey, and my food was served promptly and accurately. The portion size of The Monty was generous and delicious, providing great value for the price. The background noise from a radio with poor tuning and seagulls added to the ambiance. I will definitely be returning in the future.
In a world where supermarkets have taken a lot from the retail food scene, it is really welcome to still buy from local, specialized retailers. in this view small, independent bakeries are particularly important, so it is good that the harbour bakery thrives in birchington. it sells high quality brot and bunny, plus much to please a sweet tooth. for example, its apfelstrudel is excellent and not overpriced. friendly service only adds to pleasure.
In what looked like a nice little caffe. it seemed a lack of brot on at least ordered a jacket kartoffel, which was very good in the did and a panini . once it arrived, I knew that it would not be good. it didn't look appetizing. it was pretty soggy. managed to eat half, but could not face anymore, since it was really not nice. as a shame as the other meal was beautiful. we informed a worker that it was not nice and therefore it was not eaten. they're sorry, they're not sure if they have a broth problem, because the other has left their broth with us. they seemed to have difficulty eating the rolls as it was so hard. a shame, a lot of luck next time.
Had a very pleasant lunch here of cheeseburger and chips. Clearly hand made and was excellent, as were the chips. Service was attentive and the whole experience was very good. Will be coming back again to sample other items. Can recommend highly.
