Restaurant bewertenIt was a great meal in a very welcoming environment. Emanuel is a very welcoming host, and the food was first rate.
My wife and I drove to Ek Balam and stopped off in Temozon to eat. Based on a local tip, we stopped at Don Juanito. We were the only people there. They understood our broken Spanish and we ate the best food all trip long. The home made salsa was off the charts tasty while my lips burned for 40 minutes. We dove into it again! Enjoy a beer, have some salsa and enjoy the smoked pork!!
I remember reading an article how Temazon – Is The Smoked Meat Capital of the Yucatan. It is not very far from Valladolid so we stopped in on our way back from Ek' Balam. We were not disappointed. The food was fabulous. We had a sampler plate and nothing was left over. At first we thought we may have to take some home with us but it was so good we ate it all.
No English spoken here so just say yes to all the wonderful food offered! Best meal on our trip so far! Smoked pork, ham and sausage with salsa and rice!
