Restaurant bewertenNot too bad of an atmosphere but food was very ordinary for the price. Wouldn’t recommend the pork belly entree as it’s soggy and lacks flavour. Had the Scotch Fillet which was cooked well and tasted ok but had a significant amount of fat and...gristle.
We came here on a whim on a Sunday late afternoon. We ordered a couple of kids meals, a couple of salads, onion rings, pork belly and a ribs meal. Everything was good, aside from the pork belly which was limp, and perhaps there was...a bit too much salt on the kids’ chips. The service and environment was functional, but not amazing. The worst part (not the restaurant’s fault) was the obnoxious family sitting near that had their kids watching iPads at the table with the volume way too loud. When it came time to pay, the staff member wouldn’t allow us to split the bill, claiming the restaurant was too busy, even though it was less than half full. All in all, a good meal but for the price and atmosphere I wouldn’t rush back.
Super busy in a Sunday night usually a good sign. Lots of kids and families. Excellent ordering and service. Food on the table after probably minutes. Pork ribs excellent. Veggie pasta a large serving. Very nice. Wine a decent price. Highly recommended.
Living in Olympic Park means we visit the various restaurants regularly. Over many visits we have found the experience and food extremely variable at ribs and rumps and tonight have decided we will likely avoid visiting them again. Call out also to Lifestyle members that...Ribs and Rumps no longer offer a discount on their food so definitely makes it too expensive in comparison to the quality.
My teeth were definitely not sharp enough to try and challenge the tough, sinewy mess that was the beef ribs here. Nor was my detective skills good enough in trying to find some meat on the actual big boned ribs presented. For the price that...was charged, you would expect the meat to be falling off the bone and to actually be a decent amount of meat to actually eat. Definitely not the case here. Disappointing doesn't even cover it.
