Restaurant bewertenWe were staying at the Chateau du Rozel and needed a place for dinner on Sunday. Almost nothing was open, but we found L'Amarre. Basic burger place, but friendly service, American classic rock playing, decent food and clean restaurant and rest rooms. Don't expect fancy dining, but perfectly suitable for a casual meal.
The venue is a little rustic but nevertheless quite charming. The menu is not large, a sure sign that the food is not just out of the freezer. The food is basic but beautifully cooked and presented. My wife and I had been in Normandy since Saturday 1st June, today was Wednesday and we had almost given up hope of getting a decent restaurant meal on this trip. That was until we found L Amarre right on our doorstep. It was easily the best meal of the week. Fortunately we had booked a table. We arrived at 7 pm and by 8pm the restaurant was full of mainly local people. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. It is inexpensive, unpretentious but the food and service both of the highest quality. The highlight for me was the Tarte Normande which has been made one the premises by their young but talented chef. Booking a table is essential, even midweek.
Lovely informal atmosphere. Friendly and helpful owners!
We were welcomed with kindness and we thank the couple of owners for their commercial spirit. If you pass in the area, don't hesitate to stop there, a pleasant pond completes the charm of the place
A very attentive team. We ate well and laughed a lot
