Restaurant bewertenKorean food is all about fried chicken, stone bowl stir rice, and so on. This restaurant offers a variety of Korean food, as well as something else. However, I don’t like the surroundings inside this restaurant. I came there at night with my friends. The restaurant is too dark. Food does not look nice in such a dark environment. And, it ruins my photos as well. But the taste is ok. Pricing is about $15, like fast food restaurant. They will serve a few pre-meal small dishes. #Marinate Beef In a Hot Plate# is large in quantity. #Dolsot Bibimbab# is cooked in the traditional Korean way, in a very hot stone bowl. #Galbitang# tastes hot and nice especially in such a cold winter night. However, the #Mul Naeng Myun# is weird served in a bowl full of ice. We thought it were like dry noodles, but actually it has soup. The whole mouth got frozen when drinking the soup!
Really liked the place and sply the spicy chicken amazing, it took me back to my past where i was in Rome with loved one back in 2010 where we were enjoying spicy chicken from Chinese restaurant..
Service is fast and friendly and the food is good value. You could easily get more "authentic" and higher quality Korean food somewhere else in Strathfield, but Beauty and the Beast is convenient and does the job.
Beauty and the beast used to be really good but lately it's just not on par with it's usual standards (considering i've been a frequent diner here for many years). Food here is cheap however for the immensely generous portion sizes they give. Every time i come here i over-order as there are so many things on the menu i enjoy and i can never just decide on one thing. People complain it's not very authentic for Korean food and it's too westernized, that never bothered me however. If you dine here i recommend the potato noodles, kimchi jiggae, kimchi pancake, tonkatsu and kimchi fried rice. There are many things on their menu however these are a few of what i enjoy most. I particularly love their kimchi jiggae.
Wowed by the WoW deal on the outside, we decided to try it today. It comprises of Kama age aka JFC. Ramen chicken Katsu and Kim Chi fried rice. The staff is very polite and the food came out timely. The winner is the chicken Katsu ramen. The ramen is just perfect not too soft yet not too chewy. The Chicken Katsu is Devine, crunchy yet not too dry. portion is bigger than we expected which is great. The Kama age comes second. You can eat most part of the chicken as most have been deboned. The flavour can be a bit stronger either with more sesame oil and or some cracked pepper. The Kimchi Fried chicken is good but have tried better elsewhere. The portion can be made a bit bigger and should not only rely on Kimchi and Salad for garnish. Bottom line; good food. Good service and great value
