Parkway Cafe - Springfield

The food was excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly. Since I'm not from the area, I was very happy with both the food and the service.

The Parkway Cafe is fantastic! The food is delicious (I tried the breakfast horseshoe), and the owners have created an incredibly diverse and friendly staff. I highly recommend dining here! - White Chedda

After some time, we finally had the chance to revisit the Parkway! I learned that it’s now under new ownership, and while it still has a fresh feel, it retains that comforting charm reminiscent of a place you've visited in the past. The staff were fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious!

My daughter and I visited Springfield to pick up a couple of rescued shelter dogs. While there, we decided to stop at Parkway Cafe, and we were very pleased with our experience. We both ordered breakfast, which included a generous portion of scrambled eggs with cheese, four or five strips of bacon, biscuits and gravy, and hash browns. The prices were quite reasonable, and the service was excellent—quick and friendly! If we find ourselves in Springfield, Illinois, again, we will definitely make a stop at Parkway Cafe!

The food was just okay—not impressive at all. However, the worst part was the coffee; it was the worst I've had anywhere in Springfield! It even came in a mug that looked like it belonged in a retirement home. Seriously? After dining here, both my friend and I ended up feeling very sick, so I changed my review from 3 stars to 1 star.
