Restaurant bewertenReal ale, real food, and plenty of character to back it up.We had had some dsiappointments during our week in Kingsbridge, but not at this little pub tucked away up a side road at the top of the village. Menus are chalked on boards, and on the night we visited they were offering fresh scallops. Excellent, not to say exceptional, with a choice of starters or main course, salad or chips. It did much to repair the reputation of Kingsbridge's restauranteurs.Good beer, fine wines.Well worth a visit.
What a wonderful little pub. Family owned for years and it really shows. Warmly greeted on arrival and friendly chats throughout. Service was exceptional. We had whitebait, scallops and fillet steak. All extremely yummy and the fillet was a perfect medium-rare, good quality steak. I had a glass of Merlot which I thoroughly enjoyed. This will be a regular stop whenever we are close enough to Kingsbridge.
A warm welcome and four very happy diners! My husband and I had gammon, the best gammom steaks ever and our friends chose the fish and chips which they said were delicious. All the meals were beautifully presented and plentiful, definitely the best meal eaten...out in a very long time and we shall be back for more.

Whilst on holiday in the area we booked to eat our evening meal in this pub and it didn't disappoint! We both had the freshly caught cod with chips and mushy peas, the food was very tasty and plentiful. The service was excellent and staff...very friendly. Prices reasonable too. Definitely worth a visit if you fancy no nonsense good traditional pub grub with friendly service.
