Restaurant bewertenMy Wife and I went to Jo:a for my 58th Birthday. My youngest Daughter recommended this Restaurant over the other Silverdale Japanese Restaurants. I am Half Japanese and accustomed to excellent original Japanese Cuisine. The entire Crew and Chef's at Jo:a are very courteous and respectful to all their Guests. Great food and Great People.
We went to this restaurant while we were in Silverdale for two nights, and we were delightfully surprised to find good Japanese food being served at reasonable prices. We look forward to dining at this place the next time we are in the area.
My wife and I stopped by on Valentine's Day without reservations and told the wait was 20-30 minutes. We waited an hour and fifteen minutes before leaving. The staff was holding open tables for up to 20 minutes waiting for the next reservation. We made reservations this time for Fathers Day, but on arrival were told the restaurant was not accepting the reservations because they were too busy. Fortunately, the wait was reasonable this time. Food is great, but our service was a little slow.
The manager stated that Jo:a does not have a business relationship with OpenTable so he would not honor our reservation. The floor was sticky. Our waitress had to be prompted to bring the soup and salad. The giyoza was burned. We have dined here several times and liked it enough to return. It has never been a disaster as this experience was. We will stay away for a year in hopes that Jo:a can get their problems sorted out. Hakata is nearby.
This was an excellent experience, we were celebrating my grown children's birthdays and the staff/waitress went above and beyond, offered recommendations on choices and even brought cake and ice cream for the table..thanks we had a real nice dinner and we will return.
