Eggspectation - Silver Spring

Nice day to spend outside for brunch! The weather was perfect and the service was also very friendly. This was my first time in this place and the food was just as good as in Ellicott City! The service was a little slow, but it was a busy Saturday morning. I ordered the southwest sunrise with a croissant and it was delicious. Parking was a bit difficult because of the entire traffic from the festival and the peasant market, but it was not too bad from a walk with beautiful weather.

Updated Review: Eggspectation is situated in a fantastic location in downtown Silver Spring. Upon entering, I was greeted by a friendly young man who initially seated me indoors. When I changed my mind and requested to sit outside, he responded with "Sure, no problem." This flexibility and friendliness set a positive tone for my visit. I chose an outdoor table, but just a quick note: if you prefer to stay dry, it’s best to avoid sitting near the water fountain. It was a windy day, and I got sprayed quite a bit, but I secretly enjoyed the splash. My waiter, however, was not as welcoming as the host. He seemed a bit overwhelmed by the thought of having to attend to another customer. I ordered a scrambled egg breakfast with orange juice, which was delicious. The young lady who brought my food was delightful; she brightened my day with a big smile and kindly asked if I needed anything else. When I requested salt, pepper, and jam, she brought them promptly and with enthusiasm. Overall, I had a good experience, but I wished I could have tipped the host and the young lady who served me. I aimed to leave over 20%, thinking my waiter might have just been having a rough day, but honestly, I felt like giving him just a dollar. I would encourage others to give Eggspectation a try.

I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant located in downtown Silver Spring. Parking is free on weekends, which is a plus. I visited on a Sunday morning around 10:30, and while the place was quite busy, the wait time was manageable at 30 minutes. The staff, from the hostess to the waitress, were all very friendly. Our food was served quickly, and I really enjoyed their signature mimosa. I also ordered the Southwest dish, which came with delicious potatoes. My daughter was curious about the chocolate chip pancake, and it turned out to be nice and fluffy, very tasty. I didn’t give a full five-star rating because it was quite hot inside, as it seemed the air conditioning wasn’t working, and that made the experience a bit uncomfortable. Nevertheless, it was a great outing overall, and I would definitely recommend it.

I love this place! The food is very delicious and I'm a picky when it comes to eating. I've been there three times within 4 weeks because I'm happy with the services every time I go there. It is very convenient and easy to find. There are 3 parking spaces nearby on foot and it is close to public transport; just a few blocks from the subway. If you love pasta, they have a great choice! I wish there were more choices in the happy hours. The kitchen is open so you can see everything that happens there, good for those who are picky with their food. Space and relaxation room is clean. You have a dinner and bar seating.
