Restaurant bewertenNote: This review is updated by three stars based on my 06/11/19 experience. Nice to know they've improved. Updated Review: Eggspectation is located in a great downtown Silver Spring. When I went into the door, I was greeted by a nice young man who put me in the house, and was CL when I changed my mind and asked to sit outside. His answer, sure, no problem. It becomes flexible and friendly. I sat outside on a table. Just a small note, if you don't like to get wet, don't sit at a table near the water fountain. It was windy and I was always sprayed, but I secretly enjoyed it. My waiter came and was not as friendly as the host. In fact, he seemed harassed by the fact that he actually had to deal with another person. I ordered a scrambled egg breakfast with orange juice, and it was very good. The young lady who delivered my food was a bright sun ray that gives me a big smile and asks if she could bring me something else. I asked about salt, pepper and jam that she delivered quickly and with a big smile. Ca-ching! In the end, I would say that I had a good experience, but I wish I could have tipped the host and the young lady who delivered my food. I typed over 20% think maybe my waiter had only a bad day, but honestly I wanted to give him a dollar. I would recommend Eggspectation an attempt.
Nice place, in downtown silver spring. Parking is free on weekends. Sunday morning at 10:30. Very busy, but the waiting time wasn't bad, 30 minutes. From the hostess and waitress everyone was kind. The food came out quickly. Signature mimosa was really good. And ordered the Southwest. The potatoes are really good. Daughter asked about the chocolate chip pancake, nice fluffy pancakes, very tasty. Didn't give him a full 5 stars because it was hot there. Like the AC was out and everyone feels the heat. Otherwise a great experience and recommended.
1st time going to Eggspectation and it didn’t disappoint. Excellent service and the food was delicious. I tried the Eggspectation omelet and was really good, staff was very friendly and on top of everything. I didn’t leave hungry, would totally recommend it
My waiter is a guy named Harry what an amazing waiter and awesome experience at Eggspectation in Silver Spring, MD. This is my new favorite restaurant! Why? Well, let me break it down for you: 1. My waiter was prompt and friendly, he knew every aspect of the menu, and I am absolutely thrilled with what I selected at his suggestion. The pictures show the PERFECT Brie Crostini and the Ahi Tuna Nachos. Compliments to the Chef as well. 2. I am the pickiest eater on the planet, and Harry was so patient and accommodating to my picky requests, including coffee in a to go cup instead of the coffee mug. He kept my cup of joe topped off and he was able to balance my and several other tables at the same time this guy is a pro! 3. The restaurant itself was very well kept, the atmosphere was nice and cozy, and the bar area (I sat right across from it) wasn't rowdy or crazy, everyone was super chill. The lighting was perfect for a rainy, cold night in Silver Spring and I spent almost 3 hours just soaking in the good vibes and consuming some of the best food I've had in years! 4. By the way, always get anything that has candied pecans they are to die for! 5. But out of all the great things that exceeded my EGGSPECTATION, I must say that my waiter's attention to detail, ability to engage, remain warm and friendly, and the delectable food he served that is what made me a true believer! I will be coming back with my daughter she is going to love this place! Shout out to the Manager, Carlos! He's friggin awesome, too! He came to my table and we had a great chat as I finished up my nachos! #EGGSPECTATION
Nice day to spend outside for brunch! The weather was perfect and the service was also very friendly. This was my first time in this place and the food was just as good as in Ellicott City! The service was a little slow, but it was a busy Saturday morning. I ordered the southwest sunrise with a croissant and it was delicious. Parking was a bit difficult because of the entire traffic from the festival and the peasant market, but it was not too bad from a walk with beautiful weather.
