Was here two days ago for a celebratory dinner with some family and friends and we practically had to be rolled out the door at the end of the night--we
Well that was a great surprise!!! Who would have thought a cheese fondue when it is 33 degrees can taste and feel so good ?! No matter the time or how
We were pleasantly surprised with the food at the newly opened restaurant on level 1 of the RSL club in Seaforth. The restaurant has been tastefully decorated with timber floors, dim lighting creating a warm & sophisticated atmosphere. There is a bar attached which has comfortable leather couches & bar stools . The open fire place also enhances the ambience. We enjoyed sharing numerous tapas & particularly loved the prawn & ginger dumplings . The charcuterie board was equally good & definitely worth ordering. The wine list is also excellent offering a wide range of interesting reds , whites & champagne. Overall- Fabulous to find the RSL picking up its game in the food area. It's a welcoming addition to the local area. Open from 5pm Wednesday to Saturday nights.
Last Saturday night a group of 15 friends went to check out one of the areas newest restaurants- The Wine Room at The Balgowlagh RSL. Before you write it off as just another RSL bistro - don't!The upstairs restaurant is away from the ground floor bar, bistro and pokies. It has a tasteful fit-out complete with an outdoor terrace. You actually forget you are in a RSL once seated. We had shared plates from an extensive shared plate menu followed by mains (my steak was perfectly cooked) and desert. Verve and good wine continued to flow throughout the evening. If you haven't been, do yourself a favour and make a reservation. I will be surprised if you don't enjoy it.Cheers
