Restaurant bewertenEven though I made the reservation, they were not prepared for us. The restaurant was completely empty, so we didn't understand how the service was so poor. The waitress was nice, but there were many issues. The food orders were wrong, they charged us $4 more than the menu price for the pork belly. Many entrees came out almost ten minutes after everyone else's. The manager never came to our table to apologize for the many issues. I would not recommend going her for dinner. The bar area is nice though, so only go there to drink.
Great tasting salads, locally sourced ingredients, natural and organic. It has a great bar scene, awesome music, and appealing decor. I will definitely be returning here next time I'm in Scottsdale.
I celebrated New Year’s Eve here, and while it was a fun experience, the place was extremely crowded. The lines were very long, which is pretty much what you’d expect for the occasion. Overall, I had a great time, and I could see that the staff was working hard. However, I can’t give it a full five stars because I thought the organization could have been better, and the prices were about $2-3 higher than what I would expect in Old Town.
The pasta was excessively spicy for a pomodoro, and the meatballs were quite tough. The drinks were definitely the highlight of the evening. After dinner, the place transformed into a nightclub and became very noisy. I wouldn't choose to return for dinner, but it could be a fun spot for drinks and dancing.
The only food we ended up having was the artichoke appetizer, which was supposed to be grilled baby artichokes. To our dismay, the appetizer was far from satisfactory. The artichokes were overripe, tough, and certainly not "baby" artichokes. They were poorly cooked, almost inedible, and had been rushed from the fridge; they were cold in the center, and the cheese was still raw instead of melted. I estimated there were maybe three tablespoons of edible artichoke, while the rest was just a huge heap of thorns and fibrous leaves. As someone who grows artichokes in my garden, I know what quality artichokes should look, feel, and taste like. Overall, our experience was disappointing, and we do not recommend this restaurant. Additionally, the menu listed on OpenTable is misleading; many items shown online were not actually available. It's safe to say we will not be returning to Dacota Bar Grill.
