Restaurant bewertenWe found this nice little restaurant last night after driving over the hill from Ferradosa. As vegetarians, we weren’t very interested in the meat options (pork, veal, chicken, and bacalhau), but Silvia, our waitress, asked the kitchen to prepare a delicious mix of beans, carrots, mushrooms, cabbage, and onions for us. The three of us enjoyed the dinner tremendously. Food was delicious, service was excellent, and we even got to meet Ana’s father. A wonderful local spot where one can enjoy a delicious meal and a slice of life in Portugal.
Absolutely superb. So friendly, and the meat we had was one of the best t-bone steaks ever. You could cut it like butter and the taste was brilliant. And we took two meals for 3 of us, adults, and still couldn't finish. And the bill was 22€, including drinks, coffee...simply amazing. And the lady speaks English and is just so friendly...they pretty much refused the tip, we had to leave it on the counter, as if they were not worthy. I would, and we did, drive the 30min from the Duoro river to get there without hesitation again. Recommend highly.
Small typical local restaurant where we had the most tasty (and big veal steak ever, amazing meat and quality, served with french fries and a lovely salad , for only 10€. We shared 2 dishes for the 3 of us and it was still too much. We were served by a very friendly lady. Just go there and try, you will be amazed!
We dropped in for lunch and the food was local, simple and very tasty. The service was really friendly and fast, so highly recommended if you want simple and tasty food.
Adega d'Ana is a typical village café/restaurant. The dishes are traditional regional offerings, and when we were there, only a handful of options were available there was no written menu and the owner simply told us what she had (so if you're vegetarian or have other restrictions, you'd want to check that there's something suitable for you that day). It's very good value, and portions are, as usual in the region, huge. Service is quick and friendly. The owner speaks a few words of English enough for the business in hand. Warmly recommended: the best food we had in the actual town of São João da Pesqueira.
