Restaurant bewertenI bought a gift card in April. Who knows who I can contact to get a refund? The abrupt closure gave me no time to ask and the phone is not answered. Thanks in advance
As far as I know, the villa is permanently closed on 1 August. This is from several people on the NextDoor app. I guess it was time. .
We love to take family and friends from the city here and also like to dine here for special occasions. We had family come from the state and made reservations to take them here on the past Father's Day. Unfortunately, our experience of this visit was unfavourable. Although we had 6 reservations, it took some time to take place, although most of the main kitchen was surprisingly empty. We're not sure why we didn't sit in this main area, we felt like they wanted to keep us away from it. They sat at a table in a large room behind the restaurant between the bar area and the outdoor area, which seemed like a storage area that had no decoration or ambience, like the main room. We were the only party here for our entire stay. Servers and employees pass our table several times and it wasn't confirmed by 20 minutes later. Unfortunately, it was irresistible when the server seemed to wait on our table. She said something about the effect: “I guess I will wait in you....” We are not a demanding group of people, we waited patiently and politely, so their behaviour and attitude towards us was unprecedented. She was rude, and she'd put things on the table. I understand the restaurants are understaffed and sensitive to it, but it wasn't as busy as it should have been for Father's Day, nor was it inappropriate for us when we were polite and not inappropriate enquiries (we asked for a glass of water to fill in and she came back, muddled a pitcher water on the location and went away). What annoying is that my father died in May and my sister, who was with me, went through his things and later spread his ashes this week. I brought us to this nice restaurant to celebrate my father's last day with my family, but the service that night was unacceptable and unproven and made me embarrassing and angry. It was a terrible experience that I did not return.
Have been patronizing the Villa for over 40 years, but hadn't been back since moving out of the area a while back. Last week we we in the area and decided to have a nice Italian dinner at an old favorite place. Wow were we disappointed, the place turned into a dirty dump with horrible food. When I say dirty I mean, really dirty ! one health department inspection from being closed. all the leather seat booths we torn and original to the age of the building the men's room was scary dirty. I took a photo of our table under the tablecloth covered with moldy white duct tape that fairly represents the rest of the buildings condition. My wife ordered clams in white wine sauce and I the veal parmesan. The clam dish was okay but was nowhere near the quality we remembered. The veal parmesan was quite literally uneatable. Two thin slices of rubber veal covered with so much breading the dish looked like a skyscraper on the plate. It was so full I couldn't cut the veal w/o everything falling off the plate. I guess they figured if your cover the meat with enough bread and cheese you wouldn't taste it. The sauce tasted like it was from a can. The broccoli was so old it was yellow and the carrots were raw and cut so large it looked like a 10 year old made it. I tried to eat my food but just couldn't. We complained and the waitress spoke with her boss and the did take most of the price off my plate. After a complaint like I made we expected the manager , the chef or someone to make there way to our table and offer an apology or reason for serving such garbage, nothing !!! just silence. I should have listened to my gut when we drove up and looked at the outside of the unkept overgrown exterior and left. The restaurant was almost empty of customers and now I know why. We wont be going back until there is a huge remodel and ownership change.
