Gogiae - Runcorn

Their yukaejang 육개장 is real and authentic. Strongly recommend the place.

Came to Gogiae for lunch, it wasn't busy so got a seat immediately. This is probably one of those hidden gems that local Koreans know about. The lunch meals are slightly cheaper than the dinner menu. We tried the recommended beef rib soup, it had a lot of umami flavour in the soup, the black pepper and daikon faddish help cut out some of the fat. The fried chicken was freshly fried and crispy. Even though it's not a fried chicken speciality restaurant, it was decent fried chicken. The pork trotter was a little disappointing as it was served cold, I think if it came out warm like how some of the other restaurants who serve pork trotter would of been nice. The side dishes were great and we could get refills. Customer service was good.

Best short rib beef soup I have ever had. Always visit this restaurant when we are in the Sunnybank region.

Small quantities. expensive. No vegetables. slow service. wouldn't recommend.
