Oceanic Gelati - Rocky Cape

Very disappointed that they don't do tasting - I have never actually been to an ice cream shop that doesn't do tasting. There is a rather unapologetic sign that says something along the lines of "we don't do tasting so stick with flavours you know you like". Before I saw the sign I asked for a taste for my 6 year old and was met with a rather abrupt and condescending "we don't do tasting".That probably works ok for most - my 6 year old is very picky eater - chocolate does not equal chocolate to him. So we left without one for him as he didn't want one if he hadn't tried it - he didn't want me to waste my money if he didn't like it.We won't be back.Tasting isn't just for picky eaters - it helps people branch out from their usual favourites and try new things.I understand it might be difficult in the peak of summer with lines down the road but we were there in the afternoon in the middle of winter - we were the only people in the store.I am sure last time we were there they did tasting. I think it's a poor decision to not include tasting and hopefully they will reconsider at some point.Then we would be back.

Delish coffee by Rouge and gelati was yum too. If you have time to sip your cup at the cafe you'll enjoy a lovely view of an impressive cactus garden and the ocean. The cups are gorgeous too!

What a lovely place to have a cup of coffee and a pice off carret cake. Lovely friendly staff and a beautiful view to have my coffee and cake. So if your over this way stop in and have a coffee or even Gelato or ice cream.

The most delicious Gelati. We make sure we come here EVERY time we visit straddie and it has the most stunning view sitting on the hill enjoying our ice cream.

The gelato shop is perfectly positioned with ocean views. They have a great range of flavours, but I didn't find them overly tasty. I had pistascio and it tasted like vanilla with a faint pistascio flavour and green colour to me. However, our kids loved it and wanted to go back every day!The best value is the platter of six flavours for $15.
