Restaurant bewertenAfter going to the back of the property to find the restaurant, the path poorly lit, we waited for anyone to acknowledge we had arrived. Both my partner and I felt uneasy in the restaurant, the music selection was not relaxing and the waft of incense burning was not pleasant. I was waiting to be brainwashed to be recruited into a cult!!Once the food had arrived the waiter explained that the mushroom had a tomato sauce. It looked delicious but it was laden with chilli. I have a mild reaction to chilli so found it inedible. Main course I ordered the feta and spinach triangles - I assumed mild but there was also chilli hiding in the garlic yogurt sauce. Very disappointed. My partner who ordered the rice cakes found them enjoyable with the chilli sauce but he commented it was one of the hottest sauces he has had which spoilt the dish. He commented to the waiter and didn't know it was that hot. We couldn't wait to leave and won't return.
Our group of four arrived at this restaurant on mothers' day. We had not booked, however the staff were very accommodating. We had really good fresh vegetarian food which we all enjoyed. This restaurant is situated amongst grape vines and is in a really lovely setting. We sat inside the old house as it was mothers' day. Generally meals are served in the courtyard or in the sun room. There is a wait for food but only because everything is freshly cooked. We had coffees and wine.
Food is fine and so too is the coffee. No complaints about the service. Pleasant on a sunny mild day. Lovely old stone buildings. Had a pedicure / foot massage beforehand.
The food experience was fabulous and such a find. Hidden away at the rear of the Authenticity Health and Wellness Retreat in the beautiful courtyard. A gem!
Great lunch on a rainy day, vegan / vegetarian food was devine and a large range of books to read for the spiritually minded.
