Restaurant bewertenThis charming little spot off Culver Blvd, just before reaching Vista Del Mar, is a delightful find. I tried the chilaquiles plate, the machaca plate, a cup of cafe de olla, and some fresh juice. Everything was quite good, particularly the house-made salsas and hot sauce. However, I did think the dishes could use a bit more salt to enhance the flavors! While both the chilaquiles and machaca were enjoyable, I would personally recommend the chilaquiles over the machaca. I’ll likely return sometime to sample the huevos rancheros and chorizo con huevos. One thing to note is that the menu displayed outside doesn’t list prices, but it seemed reasonably priced from what I observed. The cafe de olla was lovely, and the fresh juice was also excellent.
My breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional! The staff was incredibly friendly. I'm so glad I chose this as my last meal before heading home!
The burritos here are amazing, but there’s one guy who always asks for a tip at the window. Seriously, it’s an $18 burrito and I’m the one picking it up!
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The tall blonde guy who wears glasses reminiscent of Jeffrey Dahmer was incredibly rude and unprofessional. My daughter has a serious allergy to habaneros, so I made it clear that we needed to avoid anything containing them. Later, he informed me that the guacamole had a small amount of habanero in it and even suggested that I taste it. I became quite upset, as he seemed to dismiss the seriousness of my daughter's allergy and insisted that I take the burrito anyway. When I requested a remake, he outright refused. I then asked for a refund, and he told me to come back later or the next day, stating he couldn’t issue one at that moment. After a lengthy argument, I decided to leave. The complete lack of care for customers’ wellbeing at this establishment is astonishing. As a chef myself, I believe our goal should be to make people happy, but his behavior did the exact opposite. He showed no empathy for our situation. If I were the owner, I would consider retraining him, but I wonder if kindness can truly be taught—it seems to be inherent in a person’s character. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this place.
I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience today! The food was incredibly delicious, and the menu is extensive with fantastic vegetarian options as well. I only wish I lived in LA so I could dine here every day!
