Restaurant bewertenBest rye bread on a sandwich I've had in a long time. Great place and will be going back.
I love this place. I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s and This place reminds me of what the stores used to look like and what they used to sell, where I grew up. I like supporting this place because it’s a family owned place and has been around for about 60 years. The food is great and you can tell that they care. I’m so glad that I live close ?
Been there twice now. Great hoagies and (speaking as a Long Islander now living in Philly) one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Spoke with James (one of several excellent folks behind the counter) who remembered me from the hoagie order and who was friendly and professional while helping me and others. GREAT PLACE FOR FOOD!
In town from Buffalo and needed breakfast, Reen’s was recommended by my wife’s colleagues and they didn’t disappoint. 12” hoagie roll with bacon, eggs, hash browns and cheese. Followed by a 2 hour nap.GO HERE, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED THE FOOD IS AMAZING
I grew up on Long Island. After moving to Northeastern Philadelphia several years ago, I've lamented the difficulty of finding a breakfast sandwich similar to what I grew up with: bacon, a single fried egg (ideally with a slightly runny yolk) and American cheese on an untoasted kaiser roll with salt, pepper and butter. Many places offer; only Reen's Delicatessen completely delivered! EVERY element was just right. In fact, the sandwich wasn't just the best I've had in Philly but put a few of my Long Island favorites to shame. It may be a simple breakfast treat, but it was perfection wrapped in white paper and taped to go. Not only will I be back to visit the very friendly and efficient James who made my sandwich, I will let EVERY New Yorker I know, know that when they visit Philly, go to Reen's and no where else!
