Restaurant bewertenCame here during Happy Hour to avoid the heat on a Saturday and can't fault them$5 for all craft beers in the middle sizeGreat deal.
I like to take people here if they are staying in Parramatta for work as it's a happening venue (inside an old church at that), and it's a good chance for
When my housemate suggested German food for a change (normally we do Italian style dinners at home), I agreed.
Despite how big the restaurant is, you can still have a cosy and intimate dinner with your friends in one of the booths along the sides. The large bar situated in the middle has hundreds of beer jugs hanging above it from swinging hooks along with huge chandeliers that add to the whole vibe of the place! To start, we had the buffalo wings with buffalo sauce (medium hotness). This is served with carrot sticks, celery sticks and a blue cream cheese. No complaints here. Would definitely come back for these! The chicken was nicely cooked and it was the perfect level of spiciness. For mains, we had the pork crackling and the swiss schnitzel. Unfortunately both were a let down. The pork was very dry and even though the crackling was super crispy and you got great crunch out of it, it was just too difficult to eat. There was also just too much of the bed of red cabbage slaw which did not really add to the dish. The apple was a nice touch, along with the mash and gravy and I would've enjoyed it more if they had more of these flavours on the plate. The schnitzel was nothing out of the ordinary. Felt like your average schnitty that you could get anywhere else. It's a nice place and I wouldn't mind coming back for the drinks and starters. Perhaps I'll just get my mains elsewhere!
