Restaurant with good cooking and well prepared dishes, tasty and spicy “to try” with very good service in the room, emerald and pleasant.
The food has been wonderful, the exquisite tractor. It was the first time we went and enjoyed every bite. We will repeat once and a thousand times. the duck tested two of these varieties and was insurmountable. 10 all
We walked a little off the beaten track on a Sunday evening hoping for an authentic Thai restaurant, our favourite of eastern foods. We found Isaan after a short walk from the city centre. Upon arrival, we requested a table of two, without making a prior reservation. Isaan is a quaint little place with limited seating to dine in so I would recommend booking in advance to guarantee a table. We were quite lucky that there was space, although we were directed to a small seating area directly in-front of a glass screen overlooking the kitchen. I have to be honest, this wasn’t quite what we had in mind and we very nearly did an about turn to find something else. How delighted I am that we didn’t… We decided on a recommendation from the wine list of a local Spanish white wine from the list. Which was fresh and easy drinking. Behind the screen a couple of Thai chefs worked with fine precision and organisation. It was as though they were working calmly and relaxed like preparing there own evening meal. It was encouraging to see all the freshly prepared vegetables and ingredients on show. I wouldn’t always go for a started but we decided to share a portion of the chicken kebab skewers with a homemade satay sauce. The chicken was moist and delicate, and the satay sauce sweet and tasty. For mains I decided on the staple favourite of a green curry a good measure of any authentic Thai restaurant. It was aromatic with just the right level of heat. Crunchy vegetables and fresh succulent chicken. My partner was unsure to try her favourite dish of a duck stir fry after previous bad experiences elsewhere. However, she was reassured that this was a great choice and it wouldn’t disappoint. How glad she was to go with it. The duck was prepared in from of our eyes. A huge portion of the finest crispy duck you have ever seen. It appeared to have been marinaded in a soy infusion. The flavour was divine, the duck skin was crisp and meat melted in the mouth. We both opted for egg fried rice which was soft and tasty. The service in the restaurant was warm and welcoming. We even had a photo taken with the staff who were happy to oblige. We even met the chefs. We look forward to returning some time and highly recommend Isaan.
Lovely small Thai restaurant in Palma. Food and service excellent, and ambiance perfect. Could accommodate groups or couples, but recommend to book in advance
