Hotel Gowri Kkrishna - Palani

Palani really does not have any excellent hotels, most are expensive and do not really pay attention to the quality of food and service. it could be because of the tourist dependent buisness. this Hotel, on the highway is one such place. Ok food, not really excellent, Overpriced for that they serve, but convinently placed if your outside the town. a South indian restaurant that is a vegetatean. How difficult it is to make a good dosa is a question that arises when having it here. the staff could at least learn to smile, overall, an ok restaurant in a place with not many options

Normally good food is difficult in most of the temple towns...and if you are travelling with kids it's further tough... And if you are a vegetarian then that's all... When we return from Vaalparai to Palani we went to Thirumurthy falls... We enjoyed it for nearly a hour and started towards Palani as we where hungry after bathing in falls...we where badly in need of good restaurant for lunch at Palani...Luckily I found this hotel at the entrance of Palani not in bus stand... The lunch at this is very good and value for money.. the only problem we faced by the manager... As our kids asked for dosa he refused to serve..would have said it politely... Then we managed it with rice with the help of a good service person over there... Satisfied lunch...!!!!

We had breakfast and dinner here. My kids enjoyed the food. Also we bought snacks from there which had best quality. Ghee Rosa, Panneer Rosa and Panneer Parotta we had and great taste.

We were waiting as the hotel was crowdedOne waiter carrying food slightly banged my wife and the dosa missed to fall. He asked are you ready to pay if it falls.He spoke very badly and the manager rudely drove us out of the hotel without convincing us.The manager of the hotel is responsible for all this. As it is tourist place the management doesn't bother.

Excellent south Indian food ...went there after reading review from trip advisor.... Not high price to blow your pocket....there are two branches in palani Even on our way to Coimbatore we tried HGK in pollachi for meals...now we are fans of HGK
