Pancakes on the Rocks - NORTHMEAD

It's unbelievable that they expect people to scan a bar code and order on their phone, ask for a tip and then give lousy service with cold food. Never again

Well after not being for two years I was in for a shock, this restaurant was perfect two years ago today, long wait outside to be seated even though there were plenty of clean empty tables inside, customer service has been taken away completely, rude staff ignoring people walking round and round in circles Bacon beyond cooked extremely burnt, old beautiful hash browns replaced by crappy cheap ones similar to those purchased at Woolworths. Pancakes are obviously not mass produced off site and taste terrible

Took the family for a birthday lunch $189) 4 adults, 2 youngsters 7 May 2022 to Pancakes On The Rocks Northmead. POTR were not that busy. Staff were young, friendly and inexperienced. When the meals were served the waitress knocked over the cider drink onto the table and my mobile phone. I suggested we needed it cleaned up. She came back with several paper napkins and left me to clean up her mess. My wife's Greek Salad did not arrive. We notified the front desk who apologized. Still my wife's dinner did not arrive after another 10 minutes, obviously forgotten, again. Everyone had finished their meals by then. We notified the front desk, again, who apologized, again, and a bit later the Greek Salad appeared. Nothing needs to be cooked in a Greek salad so what happened there? Incompetence. Some of the cutlery had smears and was replaced. My Tandoori chicken appeared to be a stodgy supermarket microwave dinner bland, very solid and heavy. No tandoori taste. The garlic bread was doughy like reheated frozen rolls with no garlic. The other adults were underwhelmed with theirs. We could hear shouting and yelling from the kitchen. This place is lacking basic management. We are all sorry we did not have a great experience. Sorry we went to Pancakes On The Rocks Northmead. We do not want to be contacted by management to discuss our concerns as it seems to be pointless and an ongoing problem over several years. Never again.

I had chicken schnitzel. It was nice, fresh and crunchy. The chips were very fresh and nice. However the desert which is the banarama pancakes which I always have from there was very disappointing. It came out so quickly and it just showed how rushed it was. Pancakes were luke warm .. the butterscotch sauce was cold , very thick like glue. Presentation was awful and the taste was disgusting.

Lost our booking for a 2nd birthday party and werent prepared to even try and fix the situation. Unfriendly customer service unfortunately. We will not return.
