Restaurant bewertenThe restaurant is quite pricey and the food is not particularly impressive. The fish seemed to be cooked freshly, but the chips seemed to have been pre-cooked and left sitting for a while. The portion sizes are also quite small for the price. The restaurant may be taking advantage of being the only fish and chip shop on Arran and one of the few takeout options in Brodick open in the evening. If there were other alternatives, I'm not sure if I would choose to return.
Absolute shocking customer service! Verbally abused by counter staff after enquiring where our order that we placed was as we have been waiting 20mins. Numerous people who ordered after us had been served and left and we were still waiting. Food was ok, portion bit small, but fish was nice. Was far too much salt on the food as well!
We spent more than £40 at this restaurant. I had to go back for some ketchup because my husband forgot to get some for our child. They charged 50p per tub, which was okay. I tried to pay for two tubs but couldn't because the card limit was over £5 and I didn't have any cash. Thankfully, a kind person paid for the ketchup for us. It would have been disappointing if they didn't give us any after spending so much money on subpar food anyway. The fish was good, but the chips were terrible and didn't taste fresh at all.
Family of 11 ordered food and we got amazing freshly cooked food very quickly. We enjoyed amazing fish and chips, the kids devoured fish/chicken and chips and we even shared our 1st experience of a battered Mars bar. Right next to harbour as we waited to board our ferry back to the mainland. Would highly recommend and would visit again if we are lucky enough to sail over to Arran again
Worst scampi and chips, and pizza supper, we have had in a long time, very over priced for what you get. £9.50 for small portion of scampi and not a lot of chips. Pizza deep fried and disgusting, inedible. Passed off as looking like it was overdone because it was a stone baked pizza ?? This place has a premium location right next to the ferry terminal and so has a captive customer base of people who are just about to depart and don't have time to return and complain as the shop only seems to open 15 mins before boarding time. Given the number of people visiting the island this place really needs to up its game. Very disappointing. The Arran ferry provided a better standard of food.
