Family Pizza - Niantic

What followed was an unusually long wait. During our almost 40-minute wait, the two staff members engaged in loud gossip about other employees and the owner, even using profanity while discussing a coworker who had called in sick. It created an awkward atmosphere, especially for the visibly uncomfortable new employee. Our server even acknowledged the delay but simply returned to chatting instead of checking on our order. In a particularly frustrating moment, one of the employees placed her own food order and received it within minutes, while we continued to wait. The owner arrived, yet the conversations continued unabated. When our food finally came out, it was not cooked properly. Rather than address the issues, we decided it wasn't worth it and opted to pay and leave. For 60 dollars, we experienced subpar service and poorly cooked food, which left us very disappointed.

The service was extremely slow. The waitress was inattentive and didn't explain why there was such a delay or check if we needed anything. After waiting 20 minutes, we finally received our drinks—beer and soda—though they were only lukewarm, which was unappetizing. Then, we had to wait another 40 minutes for our dinner. The food was decent, but certainly not worth the price or the wait. I was really disappointed!

We visit Family Pizza quite often and absolutely love their pizza! The atmosphere is laid-back and perfect for families. The staff is fantastic too! Overall, we rate the food, service, and atmosphere all 5 stars!
