Restaurant bewertenWent there today. Its been awhile. Server was rude and unpleasant. The food was a 3. Empanada super dry. Yuk. The Pork Chops were hard. What. Waste. Never again.Food: 2/5
Food not good like it use to be dry meats and rice with the new prices the need to match quality
Bottom line: they'll overcharge you if you're a non-Latino.This has happened to me at more Latin restaurants that I have kept track of, so I knew what I was potentially getting into when I came here for the first time. I made sure to check their menu to see what price is listed for the item I was planning on ordering, which was $14. I ordered it and waited nearly 30 minutes for it to be ready (a dish that normally takes no longer than 15 minutes). They weren't even busy, mind you.Once it was time to pay, the employee tells me that it'll cost $22. Hah. I pointed out the price on the menu and reassured her that I'm being overcharged. I couldn't understand what she said after that, as the entire conversation was in Spanish and I'm not fluent at all, but I can tell that whatever she said probably wasn't a legitimate reason as to why there's a $6 price difference.Because I waited so long, I decided to pay. They ended up charging me $20 after all of this, only partially scamming me after I called them out.Overall, if you're Latino I'm sure you'll have a nice experience here, but if you're not then I'd go to one of the many other Dominican restaurants in the area with the hope of not getting scammed based on race.
Food is tasty but slightly over priced for the the portion and /or competitors just a few min away. The lady servers are quick and customer friendly. I asked what type of fish was the option of the day and the grumpy old man who appeared to not like his place there gave me answers in a condescending tone that it 's good why ask?, half facing towards me (as if I wasn 't there) and half to the waitress who asked for me. She politely asked him again and discovered it was the exact fish the receiving party (who was not I) did not enjoy. Senor vete a casa si no te gusta tu trabajo. For a convenient option this will do but definitely last on the list of consistent service plus quality of food. PS. No need for an editor to respond to me...sit your grumpy uncle down and tell him life is what you make it. In the line of serving people must serve people on all facades of the business.
The last time I went here was to take a friend out for breakfast. We were supposed to have Salami (3 slices), eggs, mango, and fried cheese. She gave us a small portion of food when I'm seeing other tables with monstrous portions. She gave us one piece of salami each saying they ran out and their attitude was stand offish.I felt like they didn't was us there. Well guess what: I'll NEVER go there again.. Keep your food!
